The problem
OPG Đurin has produced hand-spun honey in Bilje since 1980 and has the gold medals from regional competitions to show for it. What it did not have was a way to sell to anyone who had not already met them at a market stall.
Honey is also a category where the shelf is crowded with product that looks identical and costs less. The site had to carry the difference between a family apiary and a supermarket jar in a form a stranger would believe.
What we built
A brand identity, a WordPress site, and a working webshop with cart and checkout, so the four varieties — acacia, flower, linden, and chestnut — can be ordered from anywhere in the country or collected in person.
Each variety is presented through the flora it comes from. Baranja's acacia, linden, sunflower, and meadow plants are the reason the four honeys taste different, and that is a more honest differentiator than adjectives.
Design decisions
The origin story leads, because it is the asset. Four decades and a family name are exactly what the supermarket jar does not have.
Awards and customer testimonials sit near the buying decision rather than on a separate page — a first-time buyer paying above supermarket price needs the reassurance at the point of purchase.
The blog covers beekeeping and honey production, which serves double duty: it is a search surface, and it is evidence that the producer knows the craft.
